Newsletter

Here is the newsletter that was sent home today. I'm working on a way to have these all available for download somewhere on this blog, so watch this space (or the space to the right of this space).

I just want to comment on a few things in the newsletter:

1) Congratulations to both Trey and Mu for coming to school EVERY DAY of Term One. Amazing!

2) Don't forget Park and Walk Day on Monday. Meet at the church or the park and walk with a huge group of people (and also get some Hot Chocolate when you arrive at school).

3) If you got the paper copy of the newsletter, don't forget to fill in the slip at the back and return it to school. Your child(ren) could win a prize!

UPDATE: Sometimes I even surprise myself. I've shared the newsletters (the last two at least) on the sidebar, underneath the categories and above the Rowandale School Calendar).

ANZAC Day Ceremony

Today the wonderful year 6 children at Rowandale School planned an ANZAC Day ceremony for the entire school (which you may have read about in our Quality Work post). It was a very nice ceremony and it was very obvious that the children and teachers put a lot of effort into it. But don't take my word for it. Have a look at the video that Paris took of it:

Have Your Say!

This is an important message for all parents and caregivers.

Do you want to have a say in your child's education? Do you want to give some input into what this school will do in the future? We want your ideas and opinions.

If you haven't yet come to one of our Parent Fonos, tonight is the last one. All are invited. We are providing both food and child care.  Don't miss this chance to have a say. We're in this together to make the best choices for your children. Come and join us so that we can work as a team!

Meet the Teacher Picnic

This Tuesday, Rowandale hosted a Meet the Teacher Picnic. Students and families came, had some delicious sausages, got to play some amazing activities and had a chance to sit down with the teachers and talk about the year to come. Thank you to all the parents for coming to see us! We had some great conversations and I look forward to speaking with all of you in the future. For those of you did not make it, I am attempting to collect emails for all parents at school. These will be used for communication and information sharing.
