School Newsletter

For any parents who may have not received this newsletter (in the Meerkats or other classes). I'll do my best to post all the future newsletters here.

Making Ten (Part II)

Here are the final Pic Collages of making the numbers up to 10. With everything we do, we're always trying to make them better. We've used the number words as well (Silly Mr Davidson, we should have been doing that all along) as the numbers. Have a look:

Weekly Assembly and Certificates

Because of the holidays and the short week, we had our assembly early. Paris received the certificate for our class because she has been an amazing helped all week, making sure that the room is always tidy. Phoenix also had his name picked out for a Duffy Award. He was on the Superstar Rainbow in the last week and had his name in the draw.  Great work to both of you, and enjoy the book Phoenix!

Making Ten (Part I)

We started making our last number with the beans today (don't worry, we're going to do some more fun stuff next term with some numbers that are a bit bigger). Mr Davidson was at a meeting when we started but we were so clever and sensible that we were able to tell Mrs Johnson what we had to do and we got on with it straight away. Mr Davidson said that he was very pleased with us for that.

Stop Motion

Half of the class tried stop motion videos for a second time today. One of the groups made a video of an elephant chasing Spider-man. Have a look:

Bee Bots

We have been learning how to program the Bee Bots this term. We know how to make them go forward, backward and how to turn left and right. We have had lots of challenges to get the Bee Bot from one letter to the next. We have worked with a partner and shared the jobs. Have a look at the HUGE challenge that Mr Davidson gave us. We had to make the Bee Bot go through the whole race course. Have a look at what George did!

Swimming Videos

Swimming is almost over (aren't we so lucky that we've been able to swim so late in the year?), so Mr Davidson has started taking some videos of us showing off what we have learned. Can you tell which ones are fish and which ones are children?

Making Nine (Part II)

Have a look at the the rest of the class making nines. We are getting amazing at this now. Only one more number to go (can you guess what it is?).

Quality Work

By Dakshesh

Making Nine (Part I)

Today we continue with our series of making numbers. We had 9 today. See the incredible work that the Parrots and Toucans did (we're even learning how to make the Pic Collage look nicer):

Hopefully these notices would have made it home, but if not...
